1 Plan for your space and reserve your unit in advance to make sure the space is available when needed.

2 Read carefully all the storage information provided by us including
but not limited to the lease agreement.

3 Never store hazardous goods, flammable items or food items in your storage unit.

4

Wrap your fragile items to avoid breakage.  Use bubble wrap or paper to cushion fragile items.

5 Use furniture drawers to hold delicate items. Wrap them in bubble wrap or newspaper.

6

To protect clothing and draperies you may consider wardrobe boxes and adding moth balls or cedar chips.

7

When packing toys or smaller objects, remember to fill boxes completely, stuffing open areas with plain newspaper to prevent collapsing when stacked.

8 Use protective covers fusing bed sheets or dust covers to keep the dust off.

9 Cover mattresses and store them flat on level surfaces.

10

When storing delicate heirlooms, use specially constructed boxes, such as wardrobe boxes.

11 Store furniture carefully on boards for added protection.

12 Pack heavier items like books & dishes in smaller boxes and lighter items in large boxes.

13 Sealing boxes with tape provides better protection of contents.

14 Clearly label all your boxes, briefly describing what they contain and the room they belong to for easy reference.

15 Disassemble items such as, table legs, bed frames to maximize space.

16 Store large furniture (like tabletops and sofas) on end to save space.

19 You may want to use garbage cans to store shovels, hoses and rakes.

20 When storing business files, label all boxes and construct aisles so files are easily seen.

21 When transporting and storing inside your unit, do not pile boxes and items too high.  Keep the lighter items on top and heavier items on the bottom. In the unit keep your items not less than 18” from sprinkler heads.
